Chemistry Faculty at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy
Dr. Laura Kopff is Chemistry Faculty at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA). Laura has her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Chemistry from Truman State University. Prior to joining IMSA, Laura was a lecturer at Roosevelt University where she taught undergraduate general and organic chemistry lecture and lab courses, and was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and managing peer tutors for the Department of Biological, Chemical, and Physical Science. Her research interests include developing new detection and remediation methods for persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
